Little Gunner Update!

Woah... Just found out that my wife and I might be parents a little sooner than we expected... Originally, Gunner was SUPPOSED to join us on the 17th of April, then the Doc said we could have him out the 11 th. Now, based on the fact that he is REALLY positioned "Breech", we're going to be parents on the 1st of April.

Wow.... I really am overwhelmed by the whole "Daddy-To-Be" experience. It's pretty mind-numbing.

I guess that puts conception during the last weekend I was home for R&R (about 6 days before I went back to Iraq, and my Dad's birthday). And I know JUST the place and exact time it happened. That will always leave a smile on my face.

So, I have to run out and buy some cigars!

I know, I know, it's been over a week since I've posted. I apologize.

Between getting everything ready for Gunner's arrival on 11 April, and re-integrating with my family, things have been really hectic. I know that's really not an excuse.

The re-integration training we had to go through upon our arrival was pretty effective. We had mandatory classes on stress control, and of course the mandatory "Don't Beat Your Wife" Briefing. We had POV (Privately Owned Vehicle) inspections, to make sure people were being safe as they could prior to going on leave. I decided to hold off on taking leave. I want to schedule about 20 days of leave around the Baby's due date, so I can maximize the time I spend with my family.
