Osama Bin Laden: Truce?

I think we might finally have this guy grasping at straws...

In his first audio release since December 2004, Osama Bin Laden, recording in "Boogeyman" persona, said it was just a matter of time before another terror attack on US soil.

Tough talk for a guy who is hiding in a cave, scared for his life.

In light of this fact, the "benevolent" terrorist has offered the United States a truce:

In the recording bin Laden said U.S. opinion polls "show the vast majority of you (Americans) want to withdraw your forces from Iraq," according to a translation provided by the SITE Institute. Because most Americans believe that "it is better that we don't fight Muslims on their lands and they don't fight us on ours," jihadists had "no objection to offering you a long-term truce based on fair conditions which we will abide by because we are a nation forbidden by Allah from lying or deceiving."

I have a few problems with this statement:

1. This is once again proof of the Cindy Sheehan anti-war clones giving the bad guys rhetorical ammunition. Remember all my posts about terrorists getting a view of our morale as a nation based on the screechings of the Anti-War crazies? Now it's finally coming back to haunt us. When are people like Cindy Sheehan going to learn that undermining the efforts of our Soldiers that are fighting overseas empowers terrorist thugs like Bin Laden? They take these people's quotes and use them to supplement their own propaganda. Now, how many of you out there really think it's going to get the crazies to shut up? I didn't think so.

2. How are we supposed to believe in a "truce" that is to be honored by scum? These terrorists have really showed us how honorable they can be, hijacking planes with box cutters and flying them into buildings. These guys have showed how honorable they can be by murdering thousands of innocent, unarmed civilians. They have showed us their character by aiding a nihilist like Abu Musab Al-Zarqawi. What do they offer the people of the Middle East if we pull out prematurely? Nothing but chaos and anarchy. They offer violence, corruption, and extremism.

3. Bin Laden's claim that they will abide by any truce because they "are a nation forbidden by Allah from lying or deceiving." So gaining passports and visas under false pretenses in order to commit terrorist acts is not lying or deceiving? Isn't strapping a suicide vest to yourself, concealing it, and walking into a crowd of innocent bystanders with the purpose of murdering them, in fact, deception? Yeah...I have a good feeling that we can wipe our fourth point of contact with Bin Laden's "truce".

Hey, Osama Bin-Stupid: I've got a truce for you. Come out of that cave you've been hiding in (with your gay uncle Zawahiri) with your hands above your head, and we'll negotiate a truce.

Trust me. *wink*

Let's face reality, true believers. Osama Bin Laden is washed up. After vowing to bring "Death to America", now he's trying to sue for peace? Of course he is. It's one of the basic rules of strategy: when you know you can't win, try to negotiate a peace. It's better than losing outright. Unfortunately for Bin Laden, we have a Commander In Chief with something called resolve, and a commitment to bring Al Qaeda to justice.

And like Bin Laden said in his most recent tape: "It's just a matter of time..."

Truer words have never been spoken, Osama. And your time's almost up. "It's just a matter of time..."
