"We, the people..."

"Code Pink are parasites..." So says Mark Williams...In a YouTube which I will post on the bottom here (thanks, Aussie) he tells of Code Pink calling for the assassination of Marines. He calls them 'circus freaks..who hate this country.' I HAD to begin this post with the USMC Silent Drill Platoon. If it doesn't show here - tech challenged and all.lol - go and remind yourself how awesome our Marines truly are..

Am I the only one who think that just maybe Code Pink has finally showed themselves for what they really ARE? Williams says his inbox is filled with death threats against himself, his wife and his dog. Code Pink anti-war, anti-violence? Not so much.

Senator DeMint out of SC has spoken out, and the heat is on to do something about Code Pink and the City of Berkeley. There is a petition you can sign here at Move America Forward to tell the City of Berkeley what YOU think. (Thanks for this, OT).

I am beginning to think that Code Pink and the City of Berkeley may just have done US a huge favour. Through their idiocy, their stupidity, citizens across the US (and beyond...lol) have no excuse NOT to see what groups like this are REALLY about. Through their overt - VIOLENT - rhetoric and behaviour, Code Pink is now clearly shown for what they are: a bunch of deranged dimtwits. And this is a good thing that nobody can have any doubt that they are a FRAUD. All well and good to wrap yourself in the 'peacenik' flag, and say you want the war to end, because you support our troops and want them home, but to then call for the murder of our Marines? I call BULLSHIT! City of Berkeley and Code Pink has proved beyond a shadow of doubt that they are a bunch of whackos.

And yes, people are taking notice, seeing their true colours (and people, they ain't pink!) What's the expression "unleash the dogs..."? Well, Code Pink may find they have bitten off more than they can chew. Across the land citizens have woken up - can no longer sit idly by on the fence - and are having to decide WHO speaks for them. All over the internet is contact info for your elected representatives. Other blogs have got that more than covered. My inbox is full of info from various Americans who have pride in their country. You know they are not pleased with what they are seeing and hearing out of Berkeley. There is this from an American Legion Commander :(via Gail - thanks Gail!):

American Legion Commander to Berkeley City Council: 'Marines are not the enemy' INDIANAPOLIS (January 31, 2008) - "Osama bin Laden couldn't have said it better," American Legion National Commander Marty Conatser said of the Berkeley City Council Resolution, which tells the Marines that they are not welcome there. "Disgraceful, disloyal, ungrateful. These words are too kind in describing the actions of the public officials in Berkeley, who voted for this disgrace. Nonetheless, our Marines continue to bravely serve and in so doing, allow Americans to spout such foolishness. The American Legion not only strongly condemns this action by the City Council but also believes that a sincere apology is in order to all Marines, past and present." Conatser, the leader of the nation's largest veterans organization, was referring to a measure passed by the Council 8-1 Tuesday, that tells the U.S. Marine Corps that one of its recruiting stations is "not welcome in the city, and if recruiters choose to stay, they do as uninvited and unwelcome intruders." The City Council marched in complete lock-step with radical anti-war group Code Pink in attempting to drive out Marine recruiters from its San Francisco suburb. The City Council also voted 8-1 to give Code Pink a free parking space in front of a recruiting station, along with a free sound permit for protesting once a week. Marine recruiters at Berkeley have faced harassment from protestors who regularly block nearby sidewalks, generate excessive noise and disrupt business. "I have been a recruiter in the National Guard and I know that it's tough duty, with long hours," Conatser said. "What these recruiters do is essential to our national security. Without recruiters we have no military. And I don't think we can count on the flower children from Berkeley to protect this nation when it comes under attack. They have to remember that Marines are not the enemy; the terrorists are." Conatser pointed out that The American Legion strongly supports the war on terrorism, passing a national resolution of its own. "Resolution 169 was passed unanimously by The American Legion in 2005 and it has been re-affirmed every year since. It reminds Americans that you can not separate the war from the warrior and that the American people should stand united in support for our troops who are engaged in protecting our values and our way of life." With a current membership of 2.7-million wartime veterans, The American Legion, www.legion.org, was founded in 1919 on the four pillars of a strong national security, veterans affairs, Americanism, and patriotic youth programs. Legionnaires work for the betterment of their communities through more than 14,000 posts across the nation.

Please allow me to suggest that, these people perhaps take their thoughts and feelings over to Afghanistan or to Iraq, and let the Al-Queida know how much they care. Also feel free to offer yourselves as personal sacrificial personnel to drive their car bombs. Also please, be advised that we as Americans will consider it our duty to continue to advise your offices and personnel of our individual feelings, we will also not be supporting your city, vendors, or anything that has anything to do with your city this will include not sending our students to your schools. It seems that if they attend your school system they may be indoctrinated in the ways of dissidents and disrespect for the people, who are putting their lives on the line for these people who wish to display their hatred. I also received a copy of a letter written by a Vietnam Vet to the Berkeley Police Department. I haven't been able to get permission to use this writer's name or use his entire letter, but here are some exceprts (again - thanks Gail.lol)

Kusmiss, Public Info Officer (PIO) Berkeley, CA., I'm a 26 year retired US Army Veteran, I cannot believe what I've heard the past few days in the newspapers and TV news concerning the "City Fathers" laying down and rolling over for those miserable Code Pink Malcontents! I and many of my Veteran Friends are appalled that this is happening in YOUR CITY!! ... I find it unusual that your Chief would allow this to happen! Particularly allowing these miscreants to have their own parking space IN FRONT OF THE RECRUITING OFFICE!!! ... I would appreciate hearing from you on this matter, and would like to know when your "esteemed city council" will be meeting next time, I certainly would love to attend the meeting and express my feelings to those that would placate these Code Pinkers!!!

Okay, so we have the feds hearing from Americans; we have the police department covered; we also have the City Council in Berkely hearing loud and clear what we all think of them. As I said yesterday, many are also contacting the recruiting office to show support. (I do have phone numbers for them if anyone wants them - I will be calling them, again, tomorrow. I found their phone number in my notes from my last call down to them last October. Yes, they were surprised to hear that even up here in Bratville they have support.lol)

In the Mark Williams' YouTube video, he makes a GREAT suggestion. He asks "Where is Hillary? Where is Obama?" Good questions. He suggests that all the presidential wannabes are asked where they stand on this issue. Get on it - I think it is absolutely crucial that Americans DO ask these candidates where they stand - with Code Pink or with our military. No waffling, no bs, just answer the one question. Simple. Whoever becomes the Commander in Chief of the US military (by virtue of being President of the US) better be very clear - NOW - if they will tolerate this outrage against our troops.
